..is something wonderful anyway, regardless of whether you have a camera with you or not. In my case, it was even better, because last Wednesday I got to spend a couple of hours with three very special little people AND I happened to have my camera with me, too!
Needless to say, we ended up with dozens of gorgeous pictures, some of which you can see below. I was especially proud of five year old Aspen, who has come such a long way when it comes to having her pictures made. The first time I met her she was unbelievably shy and reserved - just look at her now. Amazing!
Hope to see you again soon!
So, last Saturday I had some very special visitors. Special because, not only are the two of them some of THE most handsome young men I've ever laid eyes on, but also because they came all the way from Alexander City, AL to have their pictures made by me! That's right, their mommies are good friends and joined up together to come see us in Hiram and oh how much fun we had!
Here are some of Carter's and Ridge's images, taken in our back yard:
We had glorious weather with not too much sun but still enough warmth and 'glow' to bathe the boys (and their moms) in wonderful light. I used a cross-processing finish on these because I love how it just makes their wonderful eye colors pop.
Hope to see you again soon, guys!
Two days later than planned, the new website is finally done! I'm very happy with it and I hope all of you like it as much as I do. Feedback is of course greatly appreciated.
We ended up changing the logo a little bit after all, simply because this new one goes much better with the clean fresh style of the website plus it will take up less space on all those wonderful prints of yours - how great is that? When you browse the new site, you will notice I added a new service: Photo Restoration.
It is still in its infancy, really (how fitting for a child photographer, dontcha think?), but I wanted to go ahead and put it out there anyway. I am by no means an expert when it comes to photo restoration and I absolutely admit I have limits but there's a lot I can do to improve and repair pictures with light to medium damage as the example in the restoration gallery show.
So, if you have that old family portrait hidden away in some drawer because aunt Lucille spilled some coffee on it back in the day or you know of someone who has a very faded portrait of a loved one hanging on the wall - please think of me and send them my way or send me an e-mail. I would love to do whatever I can to repair those treasures and keepsakes.
Let me know what you think about Parago Photography's new home on the Internet and for those of you who are interested in this kind of stuff: The site is hosted by BluDomain, who are also the developers and designers - only the fine tuning was done by us. Their stuff is truly amazing, check them out at http://www.bludomain.com
Have a great weekend everyone,

It's May - hooray!
Gosh, it has been forever since I've posted and I feel horribly bad about it. Well, now that it's May I have decided to give Parago Photography a spring makeover starting with our website, www.ParagoPhotography.com
The site will undergo a monumental overhaul: New hosting, new layout, new feel, new everything.
What remains the same is of course our URL, www.ParagoPhotography.com as well as our beautiful logo.
The new site will be lighter, cleaner, faster and overall smoother - I'm very excited about it and hope everyone will come check it out as soon as we go live with it which will be in just a couple of days.
I'll keep this short for now and promise to be back soonish with some cute little shots of one of my oldest (tee-hee) customers: Xavier, who just turned two. ;)
I had the opportunity to take a stroll through our local park with him and his mom and even though he didn't quirte feel it that morning, we ended up with a handful of adorable pictures. All that in a little bit!

Last week, two little favorites of mine stopped by with their parents.. 5 year old Nicholas and his little baby brother Lucas, who's just about to turn one year old. Oh the fun! And just when I thought I knew everything there is to know about taking pictures, smart little Nicholas teaches me something new: He finds it quite boring having to say 'Cheese!' during his photo sessions so he came up with a whole different kind of repertoire regarding 'Smile Words'.. some examples: Popcorn, Cookies, Cheerios - you get the picture.
Not surprisingly, we ended up with a lot of 'o' pictures - one cuter than the other. Nice work, Nicholas - how bout a couple of 'e' words next time? =D
We also took those two gorgeous little guys outside for some fresh, green, and relaxed outdoor shots - which we finished up just in time before the first couple of rumbling thunders announced yet another Georgia summer storm rolling in.. what great timing we had!
Anyways.. I had a lot of fun with them, as always, and I'm excited we ended up with as many beautiful shots as we did - over 70 in the gallery! Woot!
Here are some examples of what we did that day:
This past weekend I've had a brand new customer visit me at our little studio in Hiram.. 3 month old Cameron made his debut in front of my camera and he had brought with him his mom and his grandmother.
We were all just absolutely amazed about how professional and nonchalant little Cameron was handling all those new impressions - a big strobe firing away at him, a strange lady constantly clicking and pushing buttons on this black machine pointing at him.. nothing phased him, he was a total sunshine. What a joy!
We got a lot of very nice shots of this handsome young man and I decided to share some with you..
I can't wait to see him and his family again soon for a family session!
We've had a lot going on at Parago Photography this past month. We've launched our very first official Ad in a local magazine, we've made changes to the studio set-up, we've purchased exciting new software and we've had some wonderful people come in and allow me to take their pictures.
One of them was cute little Connor, who just celebrated his first birthday and who just absolutely tocuhed my heart with his big eyes and his even bigger smile.
Isn't he adorable?
..
We've also had little man Sam pay us a visit at Parago Photography; and what a sweet and mellow little guy he is. He had brought his mom and grandma with him and we had a TON of fun doing his pictures.. I'll never forget him (you know why, mom, right?)
This is him here:
All in all we're having a fantastic beginning of spring and we can't wait to see who else will
come by and see us this season. Call us to make an appointment and we'll see you soon!

I recently had the great pleasure to meet Daisy, a wonderful little Maltese girl, plus her favorite toy 'Goat'. Daisy's owner Kennedy brought her in for a couple of shots and oh, did we have fun. Daisy was a little shy at first but warmed up fast and then unleashed her energy.. I still managed to get some pretty sweet pictures of her and I thought I would share them here.
Ladies and Gentlemen.. meet Miss Daisy:
A couple of days ago, I took Lucie downstairs to take some pictures of her in her 'new' Denim Overalls - a pair of jeans that actually belongs to her dad. Some 28 years ago he used to run around in the same light blue Levi's. My mother-in-law had recently given them to us and I just KNEW they would photograph well.. matching Lucie's blue eyes and emphasizing her tom-boyish personality.
Anyways, down into the studio we went and here's some of the results, more can be found on our website, www.paragophotography.com
